Lubricate Screw Shank

Lubricate screw shank
Vol.21 #2, Oct. 1994

When changing screws, be sure to lubricate the shank. This can prevent two problems:

1) Rusting of screw in place.
2) Fretting and/or abrasion due to misalignment.
