Brass Scrapers

Do not order beryllium copper for use as a scraper, it is too hard. It is best to buy brass bar stock and grind it to a chisel point. Have plenty available.

When purchasing, specify "Brass" not "Beryllium Copper" putty knives for die and screw clean up work. Beryllium Copper putty knives are marked Be Cu on the handle or blade and are harder than steel and may scratch the polymer contact surface.

Sources include Hyde Tools at 1 800 USAHYDE and Murdock Co. (708) 566 0050. Murdock also supplies die soap, copper gauze, and other cleaning supplies.
