Dryer Inlet Air
Vol. 25 #3, Dec. 1998

When predrying moisture sensitive hygroscopic resins, the drying temperature should be monitored and controlled at the air inlet of the drying hopper.

If the drying temperature is monitored and controlled at the air outlet of the dryer, the temperature loss across the hose connecting the dryer to the drying hopper may be as high as 30o F to 40o F, which will greatly retard the drying process.
